I'd say a highlight in 2021 was finding our role within IDEA consulting which included developing a framework in which to help organizations assess their operational practices from an IDEA lens. It really helps name some of the structures/processes in which organizations operate that may not be as inclusive as they could be (HR, communications, board governance, etc.). It's helpful for orgs that know they want to increase their competency, but don't necessarily know what that means or where to start. 15:07:15 From Yvonne VanHaitsma - Pittsburgh to Everyone: That sounds really great, Jan! 15:07:56 From Jan Burrell to Everyone: In terms of a challenge for 2022, we are seeing more and more funders focus on BIPOC led organizations, with good reasons of course, but it means that we are having to prove our competency in terms of working with those organizations. Similarly, we need more representation amongst our corps of volunteers and staff in order to develop that trust with clients, etc. 15:08:34 From Yvonne VanHaitsma - Pittsburgh to Everyone: Yes, Jan!! that is a challenge for us too! 15:09:36 From Joel Greenbaum to Everyone: Ditto that, Jan 15:14:20 From Jan Burrell to Everyone: Yep, we have professional staff that can help customize Sales Force CRMs for nonprofits! 15:14:57 From Kristyl Smith - ESC SoCal to Everyone: Jan thats amazing! 15:25:04 From Craig Kowalski, Cincinnati to Jody Yetzer, Cincinnati(Direct Message): well done! 15:27:33 From Craig Kowalski, Cincinnati to Everyone: some potl peer topics I heard: coaching as a key service, CRM, technology.... 15:27:59 From Yvonne VanHaitsma - Pittsburgh to Everyone: corporate relations 15:28:09 From Yvonne VanHaitsma - Pittsburgh to Everyone: IDEA/ DEI work 15:28:57 From Wendi Wilson - ESCCO to Everyone: David Factor has a great way that he communicates that to funders, others 15:32:23 From Jan Burrell to Everyone: Happy to help!
